James Rebhorn, the veteran character actor who most recently played Claire Danes' character's father on "Homeland," has died. He was 65.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news with His agent but no cause of death has been specified. He died at home on Friday, March 21.
Before playing Frank Mathison on the highly successful TV drama, Rebhorn starred on the big and small screen in "Scent of a Woman," "Independence Day," "White Collar," Enlightened "and" Law & Order. "
He was also a stage actor, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A mainstay of the Roundabout Theatre Company, he most recently starred as a father stricken with Alzheimer's in "Too Much, Too Much, Too Many."

American Idol
The 12 finalists of "American Idol" season 13 sang songs that reminded them of their hometowns in the Wednesday, March 5 episode. Jena Irene was the first performer of the night, singing "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall which reminded her of road trips with her mom and brother.
Keith Urban liked her "stage presence," while Jennifer Lopez said her "unique voice makes it your own." Harry Connick Jr. liked that she made "different choices in the melody," but still "wanted more."
Up next was Alex Preston who went with Gavin DeGraw's "I Don't Want to Be". J.Lo thought it wasn't his best performance and "the arrangement overtook your vocal performance." Keith complained that the performance was unstable and "the song was kind of around you, instead of you centering and being in the song." Harry, however, praised Alex for stepping out of his comfort zone.
Jessica Meuse sang "White Flag" by Dido which reminded her of being a teenager and learning to be herself. Harry got booed when calling the performance unfocused and sharp, but Harry thought "if you really really mean it then no one is going to care about your pitch." J.Lo concluded it, "I feel like you feel like you're comfortable, but it doesn't come off that way." Jessica said she would watch her performance back and believed the judges when they said she was sharp.
Dexter Roberts slowed down "Lucky Man" by Montgomery Gentry. Keith said it was a perfect song choice which matched his voice. J.Lo suggested him to surprise the judges on every performance night, while Harry called it "the best performance of the night" by far.
Emily Piriz made a brave choice by singing J.Lo's song "Let's Get Loud". "I have to say I loved it, I'm bias," J.Lo commented. Harry thought "the song and the production was too big for you tonight," but Keith believed the performance just secured her a spot in the Top 11.
Caleb Johnson rocked the stage with his rendition of "Working Man" by Rush, which is his favorite band. While acknowledging that Caleb was the most consistent performer on the show, Harry worried that he would become "predictable." Keith suggested him to "figure out how to get that thing going on without a ban," while J.Lo only had good words for him.
Showing up with a slack wardrobe choice, M.K. Nobilette covered Train's "Drops of Jupiter". Keith told her to "keep working on connecting how you look with how you sing." J.Lo said it's not a breakout performance, and Harry still got "the feeling that you don't really want to be here."
C.J. Harris's performance of "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer also drew a "sharp" complaint from Harry, but he still enjoyed it. Keith advised him to figure "out a way to make a song more your own," while J.Lo loved the song and the way C.L. looked that night.
Sam Woolf sang "Just One" by Blind Pilot which reminded him of his times in Michigan. Harry found it a pleasant performance, but said, "There has to be emotional dynamics though." Keith liked Sam's voice which is "like butter," and J.Lo suggested him to produce "super wow performances."
Malaya Watson earned rave reviews for her performance of "Take Me to the King" by Tamela Mann. Keith said it was a great song choice, and J.Lo said the performance almost brought her to tears and she had "gooseys from head to toe." Harry chimed in, "I'm very proud of you, because you didn't get off the rails."
Ben Briley did "Turning Home" by David Nail. J.Lo said he wasn't in sync in the beginning, "but in the end you had me." Harry felt it lacked emotion and said, "It just felt shouted." Keith added, "For me, there was so much focus on the technicality and the range ... I lost the story."
Coming out the last, Majesty Rose delivered a cover of Coldplay's "Fix You". Keith thought the performance just guaranteed her a spot on next week's show, and Harry said, "You look very much like you belonged on that stage you have a lot of confidence." J.Lo commented, "Where you had us was great," but added, "You don't always have to go big, sometimes you can stay small in that zone."

31 year old Boosie - real name Torrence Hatch - intitially was locked up on a marijuana charge in '09 - but During His stay, he was busted attempting to smuggled drugs into prison - so a judge tacked on to His 8 years original 4 year sentence.
Boosie but caught a break and has been released early. A rep for the penitentiaries Boosie has told the media will be on parole until 2018.
Baton Rouge rapper Torence "Lil 'Boosie" Hatch was released from the Louisiana State Penitentiary and Angola on Wednesday night - and not even Hatch knew how close he was to freedom until about an hour before he got out.
According to WAFB, the news was confirmed by Angola State Penitentiary Warden Burl Cain, and Boosie was transferred to a Sheriff’s office in St. Francisville, where he was met by family members and released from custody. He will be on parole until 2018, the site reports.
Boosie was one of the South’s best and most promising rappers—landing on XXL‘s inaugural Freshmen List in 2008—before he got locked up. While he was in jail, he was charged and went on trial for murder, accused of hiring a hit man to kill another rapper. He was found innocent of the charge in 2012.
The rapper will apparently be attending a press conference on Monday, March 10, where he will address the media for the first time since his incarceration. Earlier today—hours before his release around 7 pm this evening—a tweet from Boosie’s official account was posted, reading “….” Additionally, an Instagram post with the hashtag “#TheReturnOfBoosieBadazz” was posted earlier today, foreshadowing his release, and a post minutes ago of Boosie’s daughter was also just published with the caption, “Boosie’s daughter wanted to tell y’all something!”

Dancing with the Stars
On "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, the ABC dancing competition revealed that Olympic champs Meryl Davis and Charlie White, who just won a historic gold medal at the Winter Olympics in figure skating ice dance, are joining "DWTS '" 18th season.
Instead of competing as a team the way They did and the Sochi Olympics, Davis and White are now up against one another. Davis will partner with returning "DWTS" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who left the show in 2012 to PURSUE other opportunities. White has been set up with pro dancer Sharna Burgess.
In a first for "Dancing with the Stars," the competition will feature a new game changing twist Called "The Switch Up." This season, America will be given the power to vote and change celebrities and professional dance pairings. This new rule will not affect all couples They will be required as to switch partners at a point in the season. Never before have been split up dance partnerships During the course of competition.

Mardi Gras, or "Fat Tuesday," is the last day of the Carnival season as it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Most visitors will plan to arrive no later than Monday, March 1, 2014 in order to enjoy an extended weekend of festivities.
Though Mardi Gras (or Fat Tuesday) celebrations are traditionally dated to medieval Europe, THEIR roots are believed to go all the way back to ancient pagan festivals Such as Saturnalia or Lupercalia. Today, the most famous Mardi Gras celebrations are held in New Orleans, Louisiana, are priority traces its heritage to own campfire revelries held back by French explorers in 1699. Every year since, a prominent person has been chosen to be Rex, that year's King of Carnival (the Grand Duke was the first one) and given the symbolic key to the city by the mayor.
